No. Basic math skills are needed, but no formal education required.

The salesperson licensing program (Modules 1–4), and any corresponding exams, assignments, and online courses, as well as any rewrites, must be completed by the end of the sixteenth month from Module 1 enrollment date. Students must pass an examination with a grade of at least 70 per cent at the ends of Modules 1, 2 and 3 before proceeding to the next module. Module 4 does not have an exam and is comprised of both classroom (2.5 days) and online learning.

Yes. You must be employed by a registered brokerage in order to obtain your real estate agent license.

While technically you are able to have another job while having a real estate license,  successful agents make real estate their fulltime focus.

A smart phone is an absolute necessity. All Royal LePage offices in Winnipeg offer fully equipped workstations but laptops and tablets are recommended tools of the trade.

Yes. You can be a licensed or an unlicensed assistant. As a licensed assistant, you can perform all the duties of a REALTOR®, but work on a team. The team leader will negotiate a commission structure with the assistant. An unlicensed assistant may perform secretarial and administrative duties, but cannot negotiate an offer, show a home, or prospect clients.

No. The Manitoba Real Estate Association no longer offers this. All courses are via correspondence.
